James "Jimmy" Moore Inducted into United States National Soccer Hall of Fame 1971

Mr. Moore was inducted into the United States National Soccer Hall of Fame in 1971. One time President of the St. Louis Referee’s Association, Jim was a referee and administrator in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Playing and refereeing for more than 17 years, he retired in 1939 and began another number of years as Chairman of the Missouri Soccer Commission and represented that organization at USSFA conventions 20 times. Instrumental in the formation of the St. Louis Major Soccer League in 1947.
