I as named after him. He was killed flying The Hump in WWII on 9/19/44 so the anniversary is coming up soon. He was also on CBC’s 1933 State basketball champ team. His remains are now at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (The Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I was the only family member who saw it in about 2005. I took my bugle and played “Taps” at the gravesite!—as you can tell, this is very important to me. His name is also on the Soldiers Memorial in downtown St. Louis and on the CBC memorial at the school. Thank you again!
