Larry Hulcer the more than perfect mid-fielder, Larry played his amateur soccer for Pepsi, Al Weiss, Big Four and later a member of the Kutis SC. While a member of Big Four, the team won a Missouri Open Cup titie and for Kutis SC Larry was a member of two Open Cup teams. A finalist in 85 then the team won the National Open Cup in 86 and went on to represent the US in CONCACAF play.
Larry attended SLU where he was All-American and after graduation played for the United States Olympic and World Cup Teams. Larry was inducted into the SLU Hall of Fame in 1995.
The pro career of Larry has him being drafted by the LA Aztecs where he was awarded NASL Rookie of the Year honors in 79. Larry then moved to the NY Cosmos winning the NASL in 80 with teammates Pele, Beckenbauer, Cruyff, and Neeskens to name just a few. Returning to St. Louis, Larry played indoor for the Steamers.
