After representing St Mary’s in the first North/South high school All Star game at the Soccer Park, Jeff began his college career at UMSL. He participated in two Final Fours, earning All America honors his senior year. He was the goalkeeper for the Busch Seniors when they won the 1988 Open Cup Championship. He played 6 indoor seasons, for the Indiana Kick and Dayton Dynamo before coming home to play on the first St Louis Ambush team. He finished his indoor career with the Buffalo Blizzard. He played two outdoor seasons for the St Louis Knights.
After a professional career, he returned to St Mary’s, coaching for 25 years and winning 2 State Championships. At the same time he lead Notre Dame high school to 6 Final Four appearances in 15 seasons. He is currently the girls coach at Lutheran South, where he coaxed uncle Dave (Robben-HoF 2000) out of retirement before his passing last April. Jeff is also an assistant at Vianney where he, a 2014 Jimmy Dunn High School coach of the year winner joined 2017 winner Brian Haddock.
