At the Manchester City vs Chelsea game May 24, 2013, President Jim Leeker was speaking with Mike Sommerbee, former England National player, and pointed to Mr. Borghi. When Jim said that is was Frank Borghi, the keeper for the U.S. 1950 Team, it was if he had seen royalty. Immediately asking “Can I meet him?”
Sitting down with Mr. Borghi, Mr. Sommerbee said that every England youth player growing up is taught, and will forever know, what happened THAT DAY and the impact on the England National Team. The major reason for the England loss, was due to Mr. Borghi.
