Ortmann, William “Bits” 1978

William (Bits) Ortmann known as a fiery competitor with a desire to win no matter what.  He played from the 1920’s through the 1930’s.

Some of the teams he was a member of were: Stewart A/C in 1925-26, Majestic Radio 1929, Deutscher Sports Klub 1931, Slattery’s, Benton Park, Watson-O’Rourke, Trumbulls, and Uncle’s Place.  His is also a member of the Greater St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
