Beginning in 2023, The Keough Family has asked Lori Chalupny Lawson to share in the naming of the Male and Female Professional / Collegiate Player of the Year awards. This Award is are given annually to the outstanding male and female St. Louis Soccer Players of the Year from the professional or collegiate ranks.
Beginning in 2023 the Awards will be known as the Keough Family Male Professional /Collegiate Soccer Player of the Year
The Chalupny Award will be for the Female Professional / Collegiate Soccer Player of the Year.
The award was established in 2004 in recognition of the contributions made by the Keough Family to the sport of soccer on the local, national and international stage.
Former NASL St. Louis Star player Jerry Mueller originally conceived and named the award to honor the name of Harry Keough. The first sponsor was Budweiser and currently the Keough Awards are sponsored by the Pasta House Companies.
